Mr G in Big Bite!

Post by SmileAWhile on Sat Aug 23, 2008 2:53 am

Mr. G is one of Chris Lilley's longest running characters. I've only been able to see a few clips of Mr. G in Big Bite thanks to youtube but i think it's quite interesting to compare Mr. G in Big Bite and Mr. G in Summer Heights High. He's practically the same apart from the hair lol but I think he isn't quite as naive and noticeably 'out there' in SHH. There are some quality moments e.g. the line "Don't come barging late Samantha like some kinda lesbian on heat!". He seems quite into interpretative dance too. Laughing
Here are some great clips:

I've seen these too...my favourite is the 'Titanic' one, it's hilarious when he shouts, 'it's an iceberg' lol.

haha "Fight the wave!" Very Happy
I loved the whole Viet-wow performance as well when he lip syncs to the song and then goes "He was only 19!..Show the digits!". Gotta love him Smile

I love these.

In Summer Heights High doesn't Mr. G's photo on the list of staff has his old hair? I think that's a nice little reference. I like how the characters remain consistent - like how they mention Ja'mie was nominated for Australian of the Year in SHH.

Bahaha! I'm watching the top 100 Aussie songs on Music Max, and 'I was only 19' by Redgum just came on at number 45, and I giggled the whole way through! Glad no one was here to see it, they would have thought I was totally insensitive!! Wink

When he steps on the ladmine while dancing and casually looks around to make sure nobody noticed. Kills me.

I just downloaded that song the other day after watching the clip, and it's now sparked an interest in Vietnam war-era music for me.

It's the dance before "I don't appreciate you laughing at me, Brianna, it's not as easy as it bloody looks!" that KILLS ME!

I would definitely recommend Creedence Clearwater. One of my fave bands. Wink

The clip when he's talking about the "Chattanooga Choo Choo" and how he modified some of the lyrics and he finds it absolutely hilarious.
Oh my goodness.. Laughing
