Re: Tonight...
Its cause Hamish and Andy suck. Well Hamish is alright. Andy is up himself i reckon.
I emailed the comedy channel and asked them if its possible they may be able to air it in the future. They showed their "Real Stories" series so we'll see.
I'll let you know what they say.
I wish they aired it on normal channel 7, not everyone has a HD set top box thats actually programed to work!!!! Hahhahaaha.

Awww I didn't realise Celine was in Hamish & Andy too! She's so tiny though. Wonder if it's the same dog.

Re: Tonight...
Well the Comedy Channel is kinda the dumping ground for old Aussie comedies to get a run-through one last time. They showed Frontline, the Big Gig, Big Bite, Skithouse, Full Frontal, Fast Forward, the Comedy Company etc, but I think it's up to Channel 7 as to whether they'd sell them the tapes and the rights. I guess if they're going to try to run a 24/7 channel of only comedy they'll get spread thin.
And the same goes for the HD channel. I think it's a part of their license that they've got to show a certain percentage of different stuff on the HD channel in order to keep broadcasting on that frequency, and once again have been spread thin with it and have to show old stuff that didn't get a run-through even the first time it aired.
Plus watching these episodes now is kinda wierd, there's one where they are interviewing on the red carpet at the '04 Logies and they interview Rove and Megan Gale, which is an odd foreshadowing of things to come, plus in one of the Australian Idiot segments Hamish has a Channel Ten logo on his mic, again, they seemed to have a bit of foresight.
I can understand how their show didn't last, variety shows are hard to get going in Australia. Rove somehow got lucky, but Micallef Tonight didn't last either and it was far funnier than Rove Live.
Should have vids up tomorrow.

Rove is the biggest overrated piece of shit Australia has had to date. He's annoying as fuck and doesn't even write his own material. Ever since the death of poor Belinda he's really lost his spark. He seems like a really nice guy outside the limelight and does a lot for charity so he has my deepest respect there but professional wise he's nothing special.
There's a chance they could pick it up, Hamish and Andy are popular so people will tune in to watch it and if they announce Chris is featured in it, fans will definitely tune in to watch it. Comedy Channel love Chris. They aired WCBH. They could air Hamish and Andy during their "Aussie Gold" program. Aussie Gold is 3 hours of old Australian comedy shows shown on Friday nights. I sometimes tuned in to watch the Comedy Company as i think that's hilarious. I don't see why Channel 7 won't sell them the rights, they already got their most recent series so i don't know why they'll have any trouble in picking this one up.
A lot of the cast from The Big Bite were really funny i think. Especially Andrew Dyer. (He's in a few skits with Chris with the videos i uploaded.) The ex racer caller skits he did were brilliant. Its a shame he and some others never got their big break. He's a lot funnier then H&A. My biggest problem with H&A is they try wayyyy too hard to be funny. You can just tell most of their work is so highly scripted. Comedy should just come and flow through naturally. Like it does with Chris and his work. When its forced and rehearsed a dozen and one times, its just not funny.

Re: Tonight...
I think Andrew O'Keefe was great on Big Bite. A lot of people have written him off since he became the host of Deal Or No Deal, but the guy is really funny, I went to a taping of the Rich List and even though the show was boring as batshit, whilst they were setting up and reshooting parts he came over and was very entertaining. I'm glad that Adrew O'Keefe and Chris got the chance to go onto Hamish and Andy and showcase their comedic talents just that extra bit. And I'm glad that Cameron Knight didn't go to H&A, he's not that funny IMO, although I didn't mind him too much on Stand-Up Australia.
I think Hamish is a lot funnier unscripted, his work on Thank God Your Here was great, especially in the season 2 finale sketch called Celebrity Island, he was great. And he's also pretty good on Spick's and Speck's.

Re: Tonight...
^Yeah Andrew is good. I didn't mention him because he is well known today. I didn't even recognize Cam at first. Thats how slow i am hahaha i've had this DVD for years and hadn't noticed until my brother pointed him out about a year ago while we were watching it. We don't like him either TBH. Gosh those ads on the comedy channel were soooooo annoying, thank god they're not on anymore for the time being haha. Hamish is alright, Andy is the one who shits me the most. Hamish should try and branch out on his own but i dunno how successful he'd be at it.
