Graphics For My Characters

Post by Spüne on Sun Jul 05, 2009 4:48 pm

I've already asked Violet to perhaps make some banners for my characters (I'll send you some pictures some time if you're still up for it! Smile ) but I was playing around today making some of my own. It's for my show, Web Stars... should be out next month.

And a more modest banner.

Thank you. I'm not hiding the fact that my show is inspired by Chris Lilley's shows. I mean... I've been doing character comedy for a long time but I do think the mockumentary style suits this kind of comedy very well. So yeah... it's not like I'm copying his characters or jokes.

I'm sure Chris would be proud. You've obviously gone to a lot of effort. It sounds like it'll be a hoot.

Chrissy is the front-runner as my favourite so far, I knew so many girls who lived and would die for anime, it was really sad. Luckily they were confined to the library at school haha.

Chrissy is my favourite. I haven't exactly worked out how to play her yet but I really like her... 'story'.

We had plans to film a Borat-style Chrissy movie in Japan where she'd enrage the locals with her picturesque view of the country. She has a brother called Dante and she is going out with her karate instructor called Jeremy and they are both played by my friends and would feature in the movie.

Damn, if you lived over here I could introduce you to plenty of examples. You'd be able to work out how to play her. Girls like that have seem to have a false sense of superiority that they don't deserve.

You're not copying him. They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Wink

But i don't think Chris is the type of person to give a shit. If he is, well he'll get over it. Go hammer down a few shots of Tequila.

Of course i'll make some stuff for you if you want me too. Just send me pics and whatnot and i'll see what i can do.

I love the font you've used and the loading Youtube thing is very creative and original!! I'd like to keep that heading if possible. Trust me its a good font that'll work with most colourings i'll use. I think i'll keep it basic though because anything too fancy might take away the "realness" of the production.

But like everyone else i too am looking forward to this. I like Mr Coleburry and Noel's characters. But i'm sure i'll learn to love them all in no time!

Well the pictures would be mainly those character shoots up there, but I can make them bigger for you. I'd just like to see you try doing those kinds of sigs you do but for my characters. So I'll give you some quotes for them and stuff. I'd just like sig pics really, we're taking pictures during filming of the characters on location (I've done some filming in public... I filmed Chrissy walking up to people and asking them questions... very embarrassing but still fun!).

I'd also like the logo (I'll give you the logo with a transparent background) and possibly the You Tube address. But yeah... I'd really appreciate that. Smile

Still, we've got a while. I want to work out promotional stuff once the first episode is done. We were meant to do some filming today but it's too rainy.

I like that. Looks good. You don't have the staturation too high which is good because that can ruin an image when you go to fill it with a colour tone Very Happy

I just edited the colour levels. But yeah, thanks.

Filming today. She's thinking about Robert Patterson (Twilight). In one episode, Robert Patterson's head is ripped off the school library's Twilight display and they question her because she has been submitting Twilight poetry to the school newspaper. She says she didn't do it. But at the end we see she's made a bizarre life size Robert Patterson sex doll. (The prop is being made by some friends of mine... it's made from a mannequin!)
