What Are You Listening To?
Simple. State the song and the band/artist and explain why you're listening to it.
Sex On Fire - Kings Of Leon.
Its such a hot song and they deserve to finally make it mainstream after all these years.

my kids scream and fight.
j/k
everytime I open my music player, i have to listen to Deftones-Knife Prty. Right now, the bassist lies in the hospital in a coma after a serious car accident in early november. Tour just won't be the same this year...

I agree. I've loved the Kings of Leon for a while and this song is great to sing along to - especially when you add in your own examples of what could possibly be on fire.
I'm listening to Count Five Or Six - Cornelius. I made a Best of Cornelius for someone so I'm listening to it myself. Cornelius is an oddity. He's an eccentric, Japanese musical genius or produces these bizarre sounds capes fitting into almost every genre and different times. He's bizarre... and I went to see him (and the Cornelius Band) live and it was fantastic. My best gig ever.

Re: What Are You Listening To?
^My friend is really into her indie music so she introduced me to them about 2 years ago so when i played some of their music to my other mates they were like "eughh i don't really like it." But now they're like "OMG i love KOL" and im thinking
haha.
Volcano Girls - Veruca Salt.
One of my fave female grunge bands. Louise is such a great guitarist.

Re: What Are You Listening To?
Kings of Leon seem to be getting a lot more recognition these days. They sound cool from what I've heard but I need to listen to more of their songs.
Right now I'm listening to Run by Snow Patrol. Leona Lewis has made a cover of it and I like both versions, both interpreted the song in their own way.

I've never heard of them but I love the name. A nice little reference.
Also... I know it is the most petty thing to do but I am exactly the same when it comes to bands. There was this song that I loved so much called "Nice Weather for Ducks" and I played it a few times to my classmates and they all thought I was mad. But then it was used in our school play and everyone went crazy for it and I didn't want to say "... I liked it before it was cool..." because that pretty much scores a 10/10 on the lame-ometre.

Re: What Are You Listening To?
^Definitely kinda a Ja'mie reference in the song.
"Volcano girls we really can't be beat. Just warm us up and watch us blow."
Love it.
I know it kinda makes you seem like your upself. Im actually the same when it comes to Chris as most of my friends like him since he did SHH but it was Big Bite with me, waayyyy before them. Hahaha. I try not to rub it in peoples faces. I don't like that type, everyone discovers something at different times. I just don't like it when they try and act like they know 'everything about everything' about them, when clearly they don't.
Anyway, Just Dance by Lady Gaga just came up on the ipod. I love it. Her songs are soo catchy, i love her style and gimmick she has....and i kinda have a little crush on her herself, hahaha she is pretty hot i reckon.

Jizz in My Pants- The Lonely Island
LOL! It's such a stupid song but one of my friends is obsessed with them. I have to admit I like the beat the lyrics are just silly haha! They've got a huge amount of hits on youtube after it was added about a month ago. They're from Saturday Night Live I think and Justin Timberlake does a cameo in the vid:

Decode - Paramore.
No explanation needed i don't reckon. Its just a great song. I love Hayley Williams. Shes soo pretty and different from all the other pop tarts in the charts.
