I hated the scene where Jonah's english teacher went nuts at him. That was scarily like an incident I had with my english teacher.

I've seen similar incidents like that at my former school and it may be quite uncomfortable to watch but at least it shows that Chris gets it spot on depicting particular situations that could arise in classrooms.

i didnt like the fact that i wasnt in it
but on a serious note, im not sure.....i found the jonah scene at the end reall sad when he was kicked out
and miss palmer was sticking up for him and when she hugged him at the end of him reading his story
but even though they were sad scenes, i still liked them....so i dont know.
:S i shall have a think but i dont think there is anything!!

Re: What Didn't You Like About SHH?
Celine was a male dog too. Hahaha.
We've all dealt with shithead pupils like Jonah and easily frustrated teachers while in our school years. We made our English teacher in year 9 cry. It was funny at the time though. She was only young like Miss Wheatly. I feel terrible about it now. She took some kid's phone off him. I called her a Nazi and some kids threatened to smash her car in.
I think the actress who played Miss Wheatly did a fantastic job. She made you HATE her character. I mean EVERYTIME she yelled at Jonah i wanted to throw something at the TV. I mean if you watch her on the BTS she seems like a lovely, friendly woman in real life. But she was very different in SHH. Probably one or if not the best supporting cast member on the series IMO.

Exactly, that actress did an excellent job. It's quite funny that there are people who actually 'hate' her character (a few silly imdb comments spring to mind) because she plays her role so convincingly. I loved the behind the scenes footage when you can tell she was genuinely concerned doing that scene when Jonah and his friends pretend that she ran them over.

Re: What Didn't You Like About SHH?
I thought that Kieran kid was sooo cute LOL. Yeah i used to hate the kids who'd stuff around in class. Especially in English/Maths were i'm trying to concentrate and they'd randomly start kicking the back of my chair or start hacking my hair with scissors. Seriously everyone used to do that to me! It annoyed me! Hahaha. I'd try not to sit near them. Our school was good because we had a program where troubled boys like Jonah would go to class there with professional trained teachers rather then be in the general classes with others. And usually when they got to VCE (year 11 and 12) they would have already left by then. I wouldn't give kids like Jonah much hope, as sad as it. But seriously, bring back REAL punishment. There is no such thing as ADHA....there wasn't when my parents were in school. They just need a good kick up the butt. They do this shit because they can get away with it.
Anyway enough with my ramblings.

Re: What Didn't You Like About SHH?
I was so quiet at school that I used to secretly enjoy the kids who were like Jonah. Not the bullies, just the ones that used to play up to the teachers. Awful really, poor teachers.
It is so sad when they tell Jonah they can't do anymore to help him at the school.

Hmm I'm not sure either. It was pretty much perfect... more episodes would have been nice. But they could come in time.

Re: What Didn't You Like About SHH?
The eight episodes made sense since it was based on a term in high school and the average term in an Australian high school is around 8 weeks. For you foreigners, we have 4 terms in a school year. Term 1 is the start of the year, summer months, Term 2 is mid year, autumn, Term 3 is half way through the year, winter and term 4 is last few months, spring/summer again. So it made sense for each episode to be based on one week at the school. Of course usually it would take more then a term to rehearse and produce a play to the average drama teacher (like at our school it was a good 2 terms of rehearsing) but we all know Mr G is superior to everyone else and can achieve everything.
I was the girl people would come to advice for. I had my group of friends but everyone knew me. I was definitely the outspoken one. I stood up for a lot of the 'loner' type girls in school when the bitchy ones would tease them. So i never got along with the bitchy/popular girls. I think people liked me because i was unique. I was the only girl in school with red hair, a lip ring and listened to older music. Actually i don't think everyone liked me as alot took my opinions the wrong way, but i was respected. I always had someone to hang out with. I did get in trouble at times though. I got detention quite often for not wearing correct uniform, skipping classes to just listen to music with the musicians and yelling at teachers when they pissed me off. Well thats how i saw myself. If everyone really thought of me as a loser then oh well....its over now, can't do much about it haha.
At times i miss school but at other times i don't. I think the older year levels, 11 and 12 were the best times for me.

Re:What Didn't...........
I think my only 'complaint' was that the 'mother' deleted scene wasn't in any episode. It would have made a nice little touch.
