I've seen the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was pretty good - quite realistic acting for such a strange story line. It wasn't boring, coz it didn't feel like 3 hrs, which was good.

I watched the clip, V. Poor girl Sad I'll watch the whole movie when I can. I found it on youtube.

A Walk To Remember made me cry. Why don't men like that exist in real life?

At the moment there is so much stuff in the music industry just being blatantly sexist against men, it's really annoying. If a guy ever did a song about how annoying women are they'd be riots but it's fine for Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Lily Allen and Alisha Dixon just to say how crap men are and how perfect women are.

And now this post comes across as being totally sexist as well. I wish people would just stop generalizing entire genders. You realizing that that's just generalizing half the world.

lol I do see what you're saying though. Some of the lyrics are quite bad but catchy I guess

"Does he wash up? Never wash up
Does he clean up? No, he never cleans up
Does he brush up? Never brushed up
He does nothing the boy does nothing" Laughing

-Alesha Dixon- The Boy Does Nothing (I didn't even notice the lyrics because I didn't really listen to the song until Simon Amstell read them out on NMTB). Funny stuff and they can be quite tongue in cheek. But in all seriousness, there are blantantly sexist songs out there aimed at both males and females.

Going back on topic, I haven't watched any films recently. I need to get to it! And I agree Titanic is so sad, great film!

It doesn't actually annoy me that much because obviously they're probably talking from personal experience and I find myself humming them a lot. But I bet if I wrote a song called "Women Are Bitches" I'd certainly get a huge reaction. Not that I think that mind. Most women are lovely. My Mummy, my girlfriend, the Queen, all you guys, Ja'mie, etc...

^ OMG I wanna watch that!!

Yesterday during my long and tedious 4 hr break at Uni, I was wandering around and found a library which has like novels and magazines and modern DVDs and stuff. And I rented a DVD called House of 1000 Corpses. It's the FREAKIEST thing I've ever seen in my life. This movie was just messed up... it's kinda a bit old but it's clear and stuff. But it really freaked me out, and I don't get scared over movies THAT much...

^ Yeah, but he's got messed up mind to think of the stuff he puts in his movies. It's like, not only is it horror, but the way it's done is just out of this world. He puts a brand new spin on 'conventional murders'.

I finally went to watch 'Slumdog Millionaire' today. I feel like I'm amongst the last people in the world to watch it haha! I really liked it. I tried not to have too high expectations despite all of its success because some people do think that it's a good film but doesn't live up to its hype but I did enjoy watching it. I wouldn't necessarily label it as a 'feel-good' film though. Some parts are but it does take you on a journey of a wide range of emotions Smile

^ Yeah I've heard that's really good. Doesn't seem like my type of movie though.

Anyway I just watched The Zodiac. OMG brilliant if you like murder mysteries. It's a true story, amazing. Highly recommended - both the old and the remake. I think the first one is better though.

Re: what was the last movie you watched

I saw Watchmen on Thursday night. Incredible visual effects, Snyder has made a film that looks like the comic has burst onto the screen. If you aren't a fan of the graphic novel it may be a little hard to get into, but is a very enjoyable fil, and will require a few watches to pick up on all the details. I'm hoping that the director's cut gets a theatrical release, but as it has gone gangbusters at the box office without using a bankable movie star I'm pretty sure that Warner Brothers will release it at the movie to ring a few more bucks out of it. Just be warned that this isn't a kids movie and isn't your standard superhero film either. It's infact the anti-superhero movie, basically deconstructing what makes a hero, etc. There's also a few sex scenes to keep people's attention if the moody atmosphere of the movie is boring you.
Just a quick plot run-down if anybody needs it: In 1985 all non-government sanctioned superheroes have been outlawed and a Vietnam-era ex-superhero called the Comedian is murdered in his apartment. A moody detective superhero callled Rorschach starts to investigate and concludes that there is a "mask-killer" on the loose. Without giving much away the story follows his investigation of the murder.
If your aren't familar with the comic there's a montage at the beginning which is absolutely beautiful to look at, and explains the history of this fictional universe, plus a lot of flashbacks throughout the film help with the story also. It's a long one, so I suggest going to the toilet before going in, because if you miss anything it may be hard to keep up with.
