Yeah the hidden stuff is pretty cool and there are some briliant extra scenes and bloopers on that DVD.

I just ordered these since this show hasn't been shown in the U.S., yet. Or at least not that I know of. I would kill for Naughty Girl on my ringtone but can't find it here.

I bought this from the Australian ABC website and it won't play. It says there are 'area' limitations. Can we not play this in the U.S.?? Bummer.................. Sad

Australia and the UK share the same DVD Region Code but the USA is different. I've imported a few American DVDs though but you need a Region-Free DVD player to play them. It sucks but they're cheap now, same price as regular DVD players anyway.

But yeah, some computers let you do it.

You can play a dvd on a computer?? I'll try that. If nothing else, I'll look for a region free dvd player.
We need a new dvd player anyway.

Oh, WOW. So, after reading y'alls advice, I tried the computer but it wouldn't work. So, I searched for region free dvd players on the internet and found where someone had said to open your dvd player drawer and type '99990' on the remote. I did it and now the dvd is playing! WOOOHOOOOO!
Thanks so much for your help. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a region free dvd player! Very Happy

When you put a dvd of a different region into a computer i think it lets you change the region about 5 times. A program to get a round this is called AnyDVD, which also works around dvd copyright software.
Also with DVD players I think you can find codes online fairly easy that lets you change the region, and if you change it to region 0 you can play all dvds.
Also, technically, a region-enforcing dvd player is illegal in Australia and New Zealand due to the fair trade agreements
(you can read about it here).
Also I'm pretty sure that England is region 2 dvds and Australia is reg 4.

Yep UK and Australia have different DVD regions but apparently Australian DVDs are known to work on UK DVD players. The 3 disc special edition of SHH worked perfectly on all DVD players, computer and laptop in my house.

I'm pretty sure i explained this same problem to some other dude haha.

If your computer has an 'x' drive you can play multi region DVD's. But on some older model computers, your computer might select that current region as its default region player so it might stuff up your computer for a short period. (Don't worry its not a permanent error).

Region 4 is Australia
Region 1 is US
Region 2 is UK

And yes Region 0 is worldwide. Its actual setting is programed to play from region 1 to 6. But they just call it region 0.

Well UK DVD players can play Australian DVDs. They can also play Japanese and Chinese DVDs.

Wow, so pleased you got it to play! Very Happy

We are lucky Region 4 play as Region 2 on UK DVD players and computers.

I didn't even think about regions when I bought the series collection from the ABC and freaked out when a friend brought it up. Luckily, the dvd plays on my mom's laptop though it tells me some of the details/look won't show up but everything seems fine to me. As long as it plays I'm happy.
