We need them. We have 9 freaking guests online as i speak. I don't care if others say "oh well we don't know what to say so we don't post". Worry about what the members WHO DO contribute to the forum want, not lurkers.

but surely if you make the forums private then chris wont be able to look at them
or maybe thats a good thing cause he would have to sign up Laughing

I actually quite like the forums being open to the public.

I actually agree with that. I like them as they are. I can understand not wanting just randomers to steal your graphics but ... well I can't really. I don't tend to worry about that sort of thing but maybe there are some options to make it so guests can't see images and things. Guests should be encouraged to join and post though.
