So apparently Reeve Carney is playing Peter Parker/Spiderman on Broadway in "Spiderman:Turn Off The Dark".

I love Spiderman, comics, tv show, movies, you name it... by far my favorite superhero.

I can't WAIT to see what goes on with this show, there is so much drama surrounding it! They have been pushing back the start date for months, the ripped apart a theatre to house the show... I mean the list goes on and on.

I'm not a big U2 fan, but Bono and The Edge wrote the music, and Julie Tamor is directing, who of course, directed the Lion King on Broadway. She is amazing.

I heard a rumor that there will be many Spiderman scattered in the dark among the walls of the theatre so that when they are lit at different times, it looks like he is literally climbing the walls really fast. It has the potential to be pretty rad. Or a HUGE flop. lol

( We were just texting about this. Smile )

I've been hearing about this musical for ages it feels like, so I'm glad that there has finally been confirmation on the casting and such! Julie Tamor is simply brilliant..I mean, how phenomenal was 'The Lion King' musical? It was a pure masterpiece. I'm loving that Alan Cumming has been casted as Norman Osborn. He's worked with Julie in the past I believe, so I wonder if he even had to audition.

I agree Chrissy, this production could either be amazing or a tremendous flop.

Where Spider-Man's going is my home theatre :X:X:X:X:X:X:X

So last night my coworker told me that the Hair Broadway cast doesn't want to go to London? I was wondering if Chrissy or Whitney heard about this? I'm very confused.

I saw that and thought of you! I don't really know the Veronicas, but the girl in the picture with him looked so familiar, so I googled her and I was like "OH!" Laughing

I'm not sure. It's been over a year now since the last show (good god >.< the drama with that) so I'm certain many of my friends won't be returning, plus I really like where I ended up. But the opportunity to see Bono in person would be fahmazing for me.

So as a few of you know, I went to see Hair the Musical in the West End thanks to my friend who managed to get us free tickets! It was really good fun! The Broadway cast were brilliant, full of energy and enthusiasm. There was a lot of audience participation going on too. I now know why it's so popular! So far I've read rave reviews about it so I hope it does well over here. Smile
A pic I took outside of the theatre:

Haha, unfortunately I didn't but I was tempted! Maybe I would have if I was closer to the aisle I would have but I was bang in the middle and the people in my row weren't moving lol! That was a great way to end the show though. Very Happy There were a couple of cast members climbing over me during the show though, haha! They're an active bunch and were all over the place, dancing with the audience and giving hugs all round, aww! Smile

I took my mom to see the musical Rock of Ages on Broadway for Mother's Day, and we LOVED it!

I saw on the website it's touring soon, and they just opened in Toronto and soon.... MELBOURNE! So Aussies, check it out..it's GREAT!

It's the story of two small town kids to move to L.A. to make it big in the 1980's and end up falling in love. It's hilarious, super high energy, and the music couldn't be better... Monster ballads and Twisted Sister??? YES, PLEASE!!!!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!

Went to see Jonathan Groff last night in NYC, he was AMAZING!!

Here's a clip of him singing a song called 'Milk & Honey', my favorite of the night.

I would seriously pull an Ariel and make a deal with Ursula the Sea Witch to have a piece of him!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't stay to meet him though. I didn't feel like dealing with the crowd, lots of annoying teenies... Mad

Thanks girls!

Yes, since I met him before I wasn't too stoked on waiting with the rest of the crowd.

I might have if I hadn't before, though!! And Ves, it will be so great if you get to see him! He is so sweet and wonderful, you should for sure try to bump into him somewhere Wink
